For users looking to set up a ketogenic diet, MacroFactor has built-in settings to support this option.
If you select a coached program, you’ll be prompted to select your desired fat/carbs balance – balanced, low-fat, low-carb, or keto. Naturally, you’ll want to select keto.
This can also be accomplished with a collaborative or manual program. With a collaborative program, you can simply set your carbs/fat slider to be mostly fat. With a manual program, you can set your carbs/fat to be anything you’d like, so simply set your carbs low enough.
A common feature that keto users like to make use of is net carbs. In MacroFactor, fiber is still counted in the dashboard as a carb, even though it’s not counted as a net carb. So, you may wish to review your net carbs via the micronutrients total page, which can be accessed by tapping on the macro bars at the top of the food log page.
